A ZAVA Productions Production
What would happen if during a live reality TV show final one of the contestants simply revealed…the truth?
Miss I-Doll is an explosive one woman rip-roaring musical comedy taking you on a wild ride through a modern tale of capitalism gone wrong. What started as an innocent prime time reality TV show quickly spirals into an explosion of vibrant passion, ruthlessness and outrageous satire.
This is going to be the most shocking edition of Miss I-Doll ever!
Meet Mia, the perfect contestant, she has what it takes to be the next Idol but when she finally gets her shot at glory and proceeds to the final round, only the unexpected could hold her back! Mia goes spinning out of control as her world and her reality are flipped upside down, and in the process, turns the whole competition and its viewers at home on their heads.
Reality tv gets a dose of reality, as Mia loses her filter, and unapologetically asserts herself speaking her mind on the true nature of the shows feminine stereotypes, capitalist agenda, green washing, unethical marketing, pink washing, and…let’s cut to commercial!!!
Will she make it through the final?
A Regan De Wynter Williams Production
Sasha Regan’s joyous all-male production of Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Mikado is set to bring a huge dollop of cheer to Theatre Royal Winchester this summer. Expect plenty of tuneful golden earworms from a sensational cast singing all the familiar rollicking G&S classics including A Wand’ring Minstrel, I, Behold the Lord High Executioner!, and Three Little Maids From School Are We.
Regan's inventive, all-male staging is inspired by her experiences of same sex school Gilbert & Sullivan productions. The action is cleverly and playfully transported to the 1950s when an all boys' school camping trip is visiting the land of Titipu. Adventures and topsy-turvy capers follow! Gilbert & Sullivan’s inherent humour, satire on the English establishment and timeless tunefulness are married with Regan’s wicked sense of fun. The perfect summer sizzler.

It is 1947, war has ended but Britain’s long-suffering citizens are suffering under the burden of food rationing, high unemployment and the coldest winter for decades.
The only bright spark on the horizon is the impending marriage of Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip. Enter Betty, an adorable pig who is being illegally reared to ensure local dignitaries of a small community in Yorkshire can celebrate the Royal Wedding with a lavish banquet whilst the local population make do with Spam.
‘Betty Blue Eyes’ is an utterly British musical, full of eccentric characters, such as odd couple Gilbert Chilvers – an humble chiropodist, and his wife Joyce, a nobody determined to be somebody; Inspector Wormold – an obsessive destroyer of illegal meat; Mother Dear – “She’s 74 and ravenous”; along with a weird assortment of bullies, spivs and snobs, and of course, Betty the pig.
‘Betty Blue Eyes’, directed by Sasha Regan, is the first in-house production at The Union Theatre since Covid.
It has a deliciously infectious, toe-tapping, retro contemporary score by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe with a book by Ron Cowen and Daniel Lipman, adapted and expanded the story from Alan Bennett and Malcolm Mowbray’s hilariously funny and sharply observed comic film ‘A Private Function’.
Premiering in 2011, ‘Betty Blue Eyes’ received nominations for ‘Best New Musical’ in the Laurence Olivi- er Awards, The Evening Standard Awards and the WhatsOnStage.com Awards.
Stiles & Drewe said: “‘Betty’ was one of the most enjoyable shows of our 40-year career, both to write, develop and to have produced. We are thrilled that she’ll be able to bat her blue eyes once more at the Union Theatre, as our new King takes to the throne, the city will once again be buzzing with street parties and very Private Functions. Not seen in London since her run at the Novello Theatre in 2011, three cheers and welcome back, ‘Betty’!”

DDOS’s Original Production of I Am My Own Wife,The fascinating, true story of Charlotte von Mahlsdorf at The Edinburgh Fringe with 4 star reviews after a busy run at The New Wimbledon Studio theatre, review’s saying it was A charming and compassionate performance & A stunningly quiet production and a fantastic debut by Unusual Theatre.
The audience will laugh, will cry, will learn, but will ultimately leave the theatre with an awful lot to think about.
Celebrated museum curator, survivor of a brutal childhood and successful navigator of both Nazi andCommunist regimes, her life spans 50 years of the most difficult and shameful periods in 20th Century Europe.
Charlotte’s survival is a complex saga of courage, self-discovery, dedication and heartbreak made even more remarkable as Charlotte was born a man. Her steadfast refusal to compromise her values andidentity made her an inspiration for many but a target of vilification for others.Doug Wright’s play, written for one actor who portrays Charlotte and the vast array of charactersinvolved in her life, won both the Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize when it was first staged onBroadway. It’s a truly extraordinary piece, and one that is not easily forgotten.
